Valentine Mood Music Part 3
by Tru on Feb.09, 2009, under Feature, Music Videos, Old School, R&B / Slow Jams

Let’s get visual. Today I’ll be featuring three relatively old school slow jams in video format. Nothing says I Love You more than a video dedication.
1. Blackstreet – Joy
Comments: With over a decade underneath this slow jam’s belt, Joy is a simple love ballad at its finest. Off of their debut album, BLACKstreet, this rnb jam explains what a woman will make you feel if she is the right one. The music video’s track is a little different from the recorded track on the album. There’s more piano and strings mixed into it which I am totally diggin’. If anyone knows where I can get this version send me an email!
2. Brian Mcknight – The Only One For You
Comments: Another classic from B. Mcknight. This one is off of his Anytime album, which by the way is his best album yet, and explains what he’s willing to do and how he’s willing to change to be with the woman he loves. Slow jam at it’s finest.

3. S Club 7 – Never Had A Dream Come True
Comments: Before I get a flood of hate mail about how this is not an rnb/slow jam bred song give this jam a listen. Or if you’ve already listened to it think about this, a lot of producers started off producing for super pop groups like this one. A la..Stargate and now look at whose teaming up with the producers…Ne Yo, Mario, Usher…
Damn right.
Regardless, this jam is great. The song is about telling someone how much they meant to you after the break up. But why say it when you’ve broken up? Let them know now that no matter what happens in the future they are irreplaceable.
