112 – What If

Its apparently 112 day!

This was their last video before they went on their long hiatus. Still on their hiatus, 112 will come back, I think this year, one member short (Mike decided to leave due to business reasons).

This was also their last video on Def Jam before they were dropped. Honestly, not their greatest work in terms of the video but I just love the song.

This r&b slow jam is about regrets and what could have happened if you or your loved one did something differently. Another good sad break up song for to soak over if you were in that mood.

A throw back track for ya’ll today. Two massive hit groups in one ultimate slow jam.

I have to commend the labels for pulling these two super groups together because it was probably no small feat in business terms.

It was a good move as they have produced one of the more memorables songs from the late 90′s.

Many of you will know the voice as Slim is one of the more prominent members on the 112 tracks. He has the whiny high pitched tone that makes him pretty distinctive amongst others in the industry. I guess that’s why he went solo…well that and maybe cause 112 is on ‘hiatus’.

I’ll feature 112 a little later but lets focus on Slim. This track is off his debut solo album, Love’s Crazy. Its’s a pretty stacked album with guests such as Fabolous and Ryan Leslie. Production/ beat value is pretty high up there considering Jermaine Dupri and Ryan Leslie contribute.

U Got Me is an alrite track. Not as powerful as his stuff on 112 but it fills the void while the group is away.
